Welcome to the Kelowna Liedertafel Society

Susie Kaul
President - Susie Kaul

Who We Are

We are a mixed gender choir from Kelowna, British Columbia. Our members include expatriots from Germany, Austria, England, Holland, Switzerland and, of course, Canada!

Although many of our songs - or 'Lieder' - are in German we sing in English as well.
We love Oktoberfest songs in the Fall, Christmas songs and carols in the festive season and the songs celebrating many European countries in the 'travelling season'.

In 2020 we can offer Members:

  • SpacerSinging under the direction of a professional conductor and pianist.
  • SpacerA Fundraiser Special at the Canadian German Harmonie Club
  • SpacerA June Picnic in the Park or the German Club Garden with the Choir Members and Families.
  • SpacerSinging in Retirement Homes and other Facilities.
  • SpacerParticipation in the North Pacific Sängerfest in Vancouver
  • SpacerAn 50th Anniversary Concert and Dance with a professional band.
  • SpacerA Christmas Concert at the First Lutheran Church - Lakeshore Road, Kelowna.
  • SpacerA Choir Christmas Party in the German Club Kaffestübe.
  • SpacerMany new Friends & great Cameraderie.

We hold choir practice every Tuesday at 7:00 pm. in the Harmonie Hall of the Canadian-German Harmonie Club at 1696 Cary Road, Kelowna .

If you have the passion for singing, please do not hesitate to send an e-mail to or drop in to our rehearsals. You will be welcome!
We also welcome non-singing or 'passive' membership with access to all our rehearsals and events.
